Tara Rafferty & Suzi Duff from the Wicklow Homeopathy Clinic recently visited Farokh Master's clinics in Mumbai and Puna, India. Here's Tara's account of their trip

Suzi, Tara and Annemarie recently returned from a short trip to India.

We were invited to visit Dr Farouk Master’s clinic in Mumbai (Bombay), to observe the day to day running of a homeopathic clinic, prescribing and treatment Indian style. He has a second clinic in Poona, which Suzi ands Annemarie got the chance to visit. It is a state of the art hospital where he receives referrals from other consultants.

'Flu's and Tummy bugs

'Flus and Tummy bugs

At the moment there seems to be a variety of  ‘flus, coughs and tummy problems making the rounds. Sometimes the three are together and some times separate. What do you look for to select an appropriate remedy that will act homoeopathically?

Stop Gvt. restrictions on vitamin and mineral supplements

The European Union is currently working to set maximum levels for vitamin and mineral supplements on sale in Ireland and throughout the EU. The Irish Government has proposed these should be no higher than RDA levels, i.e. the minimum amount you need to prevent deficiency disease.  In other words, the RDA level of vitamin C, being 60mg a day, is enough to prevent scurvy but this measure is virtually useless for supporting your immune system.  RDA levels are very much lower than amounts needed to support optimal health.

Bach Flower Remedies Course - Sat 14th July, Dublin

I'm running another Introduction to the Bach Flower Remedies and Essences coming up shortly on Saturday 14th of July. It will be in room 8 at Milltown Park in Ranelagh from 10am to 4.30 to 5pm.

The day is a hands-on session of working with the Bach Flowers and attendees should come away with a good overview of Flower Essences and how to use them for yourself and in your practice.

We're back, after a tech glitch

And with an updated design too. The week before the Conference, the site's database hiccoughed and threw out the permissions for just anyone to look at the content. This has been fixed now and this site's CMS, Drupal, upgraded to the latest version.

That's why we're sporting a new look, too. With Drupal's default theme, Minelli.

Exams and your health

May and June are the traditional exam months whether at School or College. After years of study these exams bring about, for example, the completion of childhood and adolescence and or passport to a new stage in life. Whichever, a time of CHANGE. A time of anxiety and even fear at one extreme and elation at the other.

Sometimes one should ask for whom is the problem greatest, student or parent? These dilemmas can stir up deep emotions and it can be these very emotions that can be the motivation to success or disaster.

Take a look at the situation within your family and it may be necessary to consider the preparation as part of a journey; the outcome of the exams may be failure or success but lead to an unexpected change in the planned pathway. Many great scholars, business people and entrepreneurs did not achieve their goals in exams but would agree that this “failure” had been the essential motivation to strive in the new direction.
